Creative Ways To Support The Closet

The need for warm, durable clothing is great in our community!  The Emergency Clothes Closet strives to meet that need and YOUR help is essential in being able to do so.  We’ve put together a list of fun, creative ways you can support the ECC with clothing donations and/or monetary donations.  Have a creative idea of your own?  Please email it to jill@emergencyclothescloset.com and we’ll add it to the list!

Auction Party– Invite people to bring items from home they no longer want (home décor, clothing, etc.). Have someone play “auctioneer” and take bids on each item.  One person we know invited 15 people and raised $600.00 in just 2 hours!

Holiday Party – Pick a holiday to celebrate (Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, etc.). Ask guests to bring a donation instead of a hostess gift.

Company Clothing Drives – Instead of Secret Santa gifts, hold a clothing drive at the office.  Or charge “admission” to the company holiday party.  The price? A donation to the ECC.

Donation Location- Designate your house as an official drop-off location for ECC clothing donations.  Put flyers in your neighbor’s mailboxes. Send Facebook invites to your Friends.
